Environmental Policy

COMMITTED TO ENSURING COMPLIANCE WITH ALL ENVIRONMENTAL LEGISLATION

As a specialist diamond drilling company, Clean Cut Drilling Limited (the ‘Company’) recognises that its activities have the potential to negatively impact the environment.

As such, the Company is committed to ensuring compliance with all environmental legalisation, regulations and codes of practice relevant to the industry sector in which it operates, controlling pollution by limiting emissions, mitigating waste, and avoiding the release of hazardous materials into the environment across all of its operations. In order to achieve this, the Company’s policies, services and activities are continually reviewed to enable mitigating action against any environmental damage.

We seek to promote the conservation and sustainable use of natural resources and to minimise environmental pollution in all of our own activities and, where possible, by our influence over others within the industry.

Consideration will be given to the substitution of polluting substances with sustainable, renewable or recyclable alternatives wherever possible. Steps will be taken to minimise smoke, dust, noise, and vibration nuisance, as identified in the assessment of each job and outlined in each Method Statement.

Where we are responsible or in instances where our client specifically requests, we will remove and dispose of any all waste responsibly. This waste disposal will be carried out by our staff or a third party identified in the Method Statement and removed to registered disposal sites. Documentation shall be held to demonstrate compliance with this objective and wherever possible waste shall be recycled, reclaimed or reused.

Liquid pollutants will not be permitted to enter water sources. This will require the specific instruction to control identified pollution risks. All liquid storage will be bundled wherever there is a risk.

This policy shall apply to all Clean Cut Drilling Limited’s office functions, company travel and design functions, as well as on-site construction functions. This policy will be communicated to all employees and ensure that they are given appropriate training to be conscious of and to mitigate environmental damage.

Clean Cut Drilling Limited will review this policy on an annual basis, considering any changes within applicable legislation, the Company and other relevant factors.
